چکیده
Aims and objectives: The aim of this research is to see the effectiveness of neural mobilization on posterior myofascial chain flexibility. Methodology: Samples of 70 subjects were recruited for the study. Pre mobilization readings for finger floor distance, tibiotarsal angle and finger floor grades were taken for each individual, after whom slump mobilization was given and post mobilization readings were again taken in the same sequence after mobilization. Results: Both finger floor distance and grades were significantly changed, while tibiotarsal angle showed no significant difference. Discussion: Neural mobilization tries to restore the nervous system's movement and elasticity, rehabilitating its normal functions by relieving the tensions in the muscular chains thereby increasing its flexibility. Conclusion: This study concludes that neural mobilization can improve posterior myofascial chain flexibility. ABSTRACT INTRODUCTION

A Comparison between Two Active Stretching Techniques on Hamstrings Flexibility in Asymptomatic Individuals
Background: Lack of hamstrings flexibility has been reported to be one of the most important factors contributing to hamstrings injury during high-speed and high-intensity exercise. Active stretching of hamstrings has been found to be more beneficial than passive stretching after 4 weeks. Objective: To compare the effects of two active stretching techniquesmodified hold relax technique of PNF a...
متن کاملImmediate effect of stretching and ultrasound on hamstring flexibility and proprioception
[Purpose] This research explored the positive effects of self-myofascial release on hamstring muscular flexibility and proprioception and investigated the effectiveness of the stretch combined with therapeutic ultrasound. [Subjects and Methods] This study included 30 healthy university students with no history of pain in the Achilles tendon or hamstring within the recent 6 months. Each particip...

[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to research the effect of performing the suboccipital muscle inhibition (SMI) and self-myofascial release (SMFR) techniques in the suboccipital area on the flexibility of the hamstring. [Subjects] Fifty persons with short hamstrings participated in this research. According to the results of the finger-floor distance (FFD) test, the subjects were allocated...

[Purpose] This study is designed to compare the effects of abdominal drawing-in exercise and myofascial release on pain, flexibility, and balance of elderly females. [Subjects and Methods] Forty elderly females aged 65 or older who had complained of low back pain for three months or longer were selected as the subjects. They were randomly and equally assigned to either an abdominal drawing-in g...
متن کاملEffects of soft tissue mobilization (Rolfing pelvic lift) on parasympathetic tone in two age groups.
The effects of a soft tissue mobilization procedure, the Rolfing pelvic lift, on parasympathetic tone was studied in healthy adult men. Parasympathetic tone was assessed 1) by quantifying the amplitude of the respiratory sinus arrhythmia from the heart rate pattern and 2) by measuring heart rate. Heart rate patterns were assessed during the pelvic lift and during the durational touch and baseli...
